Naomi Osaka lost to Danielle Collins in her first round match in Abu Dhabi

In the first round match of the WTA-500 category hard tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE), four-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka was defeated by US representative Danielle Collins (71st in the WTA rankings). The meeting ended with a score of 7:5, 6:0 in favor of the American athlete.

The duration of the match was 1 hour 24 minutes. Collins served five times in this meeting, made three double faults and converted four out of six break points. Osaka has seven aces, two double faults and not a single converted break point out of six earned.

In the next round of competition in Abu Dhabi, Collins will play against the fifth racket of the world, Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina.
