Kostyuk reached the final of the tournament in Stuttgart, defeating Vondrousova

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, the 27th racket in the world, reached the final of the WTA-500 clay tournament in Stuttgart (Germany). In her semi-final match, the athlete beat the eighth racket of the world from the Czech Republic, Marketa Vondrousová, in two sets. The meeting ended with the score 7:6 (7:2), 6:2.

The athletes spent 1 hour and 35 minutes on the court. During this time, Marta Kostyuk converted four out of seven break points and made six double faults. Marketa Vondrousova had one serve hit, two converted break points out of six, and three double faults.

In the final, Marta Kostyuk will meet the fourth world racket from Kazakhstan, Elena Rybakina. Previously, the athletes had two personal meetings at the adult level, in which there was a draw: Kostyuk was stronger in Adelaide in 2023, and Rybakina won last season at the US Open.
