Norwegian tennis player, world number seven Casper Ruud announced that he will miss grass tournaments before Wimbledon.
“No offense to Stuttgart and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, but I won’t be following these tournaments closely. Maybe I’ll check out Queen’s and Halle. I’ll try to watch the rest of the grass weeks, because I’ll also be playing on grass. I won’t play in tournaments before Wimbledon, but I will play there. This is an interesting cover. I’ve already joked about this a little, but I think it’s very fun to play. Grass challenges me, which I think is good for my game,” Ruud said at a press conference.
The Norwegian’s best achievement at Wimbledon is reaching the second round (2022, 2023). The 25-year-old tennis player has never reached the final of an ATP grass tournament.
