Alexandrova beat Erika Andreeva in the second round of the tournament in Doha

The 19th racket of the world, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova reached the third round of the WTA-1000 tournament in Doha (Qatar).

In the 1/16 final match, she beat another Russian, Erika Andreeva, ranked 106th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings. The match, which lasted 1 hour 34 minutes, ended with Alexandrova winning in three sets – 6:0, 3:6, 6:1.

Alexandrova completed six serves, made five double faults and converted six out of nine break points. Andreeva has four aces, four double faults and two converted break points out of three.

In the next round, Ekaterina Alexandrova will play with the first racket of the world, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek, who previously defeated Sorana Kirstu with a score of 6:1, 6:1.
